Dell, don't you think you've spent enough time giving examples of the fact that in many cultures, especially Muslim, Hindu and Jewish, women are/have been treated as subhuman? We all get that and have many times responded with indignation....nobody on this board feels any different. But your constant hammering away at this like you're the only one who cares and suggestions that others don't is more than a little insincere. It is more than obvious that you hate Islam, good for you...but implying that others accept any type of abuse to women, anywhere, anytime has become transparent...if you are so committed to the plight of women, I can give you the sites of many organizations that work to expose and hopefully someday eliminate same. You can start by becoming a supporter of Amnesty International.

She is okay. Her very own words. In her television interview, she said the same things I was glad for her about - that she could have been killed, she was fortunate she wasn't. And now she has her life back.

Enough name-calling to go around....look, Dell if you really want to decry abuse of women, don't forget the barbarity of female circumcision. A torture imposed on countless young women throughout much of Africa and other third world countries many of which are CHRISTIAN! You are a slave to your hatred of Islam and act as if it's religion and not culture that holds many women down and subjects them to abuse. In this country, how many macho young men think nothing of slipping it into a girl with the mindset that it's somehow their right while a girl who has sex with more than one guy is considered a slut. No culture is completely fair to women, sure some are worse than others but until ALL people are treated with respect and dignity, some will be killed for "honor" some will be mutilated, others tortured and others denied the equality they deserve. The path to real respect is not littered with narrow minded hatred but illuminated by the light of tolerance, love and a realization that we are ALL children of a greater god!
