In fact, I am a 4-time uncle. And in all four cases - when I'm around one of them (which isn't often) the kids sure seem to like being around me a whole hell of a lot more than their parents or grandparents.
Not that I can blame them, I guess.

That's funny. When I used to see more of my 4 nieces, I'd get pretty much the same reaction.
