Most of the things said about Beck are not close to being true. It's to keep people from hearing what he has to say. It might open up their eyes just a little. I have never heard a call to arms from Beck. Just the opposite actually , he calls for non-violence.

It may have been "tongue in cheek", but read the Media Matters link I posted, down at the bottom, where three people arrested for threatening violence say listening to Glenn Beck talk about it influenced them. The crazy latch onto anything.

Talking about killing people you don't like, politically, for ratings, is wrong. It's creates an environment where violence becomes socially acceptable. Even Sarah Palin said, in her famous last speech of her political career two days ago, that words can cause violence (about the only thing I agreed with in her victim screed). Palin should know, she got a whole lot of people angry and worked up last August over imaginary "death panels" - a lie she told to get people angry and worked up.

It's not a joke. We don't need to lighten the fucl< up - some need to tone down talking about killing people.

Society decides what's right or wrong. It always has. Talking about killing people in the public eye, for ratings, as a joke, is wrong. Society is all over that right now. You are free to keep defending it.

I've never seen anybody say you can't listen to Glenn Beck. But if he wants to talk about killing people, he shouldn't get too upset when his fellow Americans exercise their freedom of speech and call him out publically to be a dangerous, violence-inciting jackass, and threaten his job because they don't want to hear that crap on the airwaves about racists, and killing people, and "someone ought to go blow them away". Freedom of speech goes both ways.

The overwhelming theme of Sarah Palin's 7-minute victim screed was that she really, really doesn't like being on the receiving end of her very own political methods. It was hilarious. The far right hysterics can dish it out, but damn, they can't take their own medicine.

I had close relatives running for their lives and watching their friends die at too young of an age at Columbine. Moore is on my not too cool list after that flick. Thanks anyway. I don't want to see any harm come to him though, freedom of speech trumps all. I believe that.

No. Freedom of speech does not trump all. This is a democracy. Other people have rights to freedom that are greater than your mouth. That is the point. Black GOP Official Resigns, Citing Arizona Tea Party Threats

The sole black Republican Party district chairman in Arizona resigned from his post in the wake of Saturday's shooting, citing threats from the Tea Party faction and concerns for his family's safety, The Arizona Republic first reported.

Republican District 20 Chairman Anthony Miller was not the only party official to resign following the shooting that killed six and wounded 14 others, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) and a federal judge.

But Miller had been an especially dedicated campaigner for the GOP, and said he only stepped down in the face of "constant verbal attacks" and other forms of intimidation.

"I wasn't going to resign but decided to quit after what happened Saturday," he said. "I love the Republican Party but I don't want to take a bullet for anyone."

Miller, 43, told HuffPost he decided to resign after his wife expressed concern for their safety. Miller had been the target of heavy criticism from Arizona Tea Partyers, in part because he worked on Sen. John McCain's campaign last fall. (The Tea Partyers favored McCain's opponent, J.D. Hayworth.)

But the attacks also took on a racial hue. One critic referred to him derogatorily as "McCain's boy," Miller said. Other language was even less ambiguous. At an event in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Miller said someone called out, "There's Anthony, get a rope.".
