No, he didn't. And he didn't create or hand out those t-shirts, either. Wing readily believes everything he reads on the internet, without question.

If you haven't watched that speech, you should. It's all over the internet.

the school bought and distributed the shirts. an odd decision since this was supposed to be a memorial service, not a rally.

I thought it strange, too, the crowd acting how it did at first (the applause) and you could tell the first speakers did, too. But apparently that's the way the 14,000 attendees wanted to act. The speakers have no control over how the crowd acts. All the speakers were respectful, remembering, and non-political. That's obvious to anybody that watched it.

I have no problem with the tee shirts, as no, it wasn't a funeral event, it was a community coming together in tragedy, being supportive. I recall the same thing (tee shirts) happened here right after the airplane crash, within days. Shows community support for the relatives, etc.

Just a community service, for you to forward the current Michelle Malkin right wing conspiracy theory talking point about Obama, essentially dissing the entire memorial service, outright lying about the "political" aspect, and lying about the source of the shirts? for the people that don't like Obama?

Awfully nice of you ;) We wouldn't want to, you know, hold onto the feelings of community and national spirit, and warmth for those lost and those living, when we can go right back into the gutter of lies and political defamation with Michelle Malkin.

Sure it is. You posted that here in Politics because of the ... horsey terms.

Do you believe this story? Or are you purposely posting lies about the President and the memorial service here for fun? Pick one. And either way, "classless" describes far more than this story.

What, pray tell, does Michelle Malkin have to do with this?

Malkin started the lie that "Obama people made up the tee shirts" and turned it into a political rally.

And when Malkin was clearly corrected by the University of Arizona today (heck, even Fox News debunked that lie today), Malkin said she "didn't believe it" and kept spreading that there was Obama team involvement in the tees.

Wing posted a blog from one of the true believers forwarding those lies, the blogger also added the falsehood that Obama turned it into a 2012-type political rally. Even Fox News and Charles Krauthammer said no to that lie.

Face it: Obama was invited, he gave a terrific speech, as did the other speakers there who read scripture, everyone in the country loved the evening, except a few haters like Malkin who, less than 24-hours later, are going right back into the political gutter.

Politico has a good story about the mood in the auditorium ("Mourning Turns to Cheers at Arizona Rally") including comments from the University President and the mayor, who said:

Quote:

Asked if the mood was appropriate, Tucson Mayor Bob Walkup, a Republican, didn’t hesitate: “Oh yes. Yes! If there was one thing that was appropriate, it was cheering. I’ve been in the hospital, and the people that are healing, they want to hear people cheer.”

Well, I was raised Protestant, but it's not unusual to switch later in life.

The University of Arizona needs to be stripped of all public funding immediately
the teachers and administration need to be fired
the students should not be allowed to vote until after the age of 26
ok 36

Why hasn't Beck been charged with conspiracy to commit murder? Looks like the facts are in. Media Matters! That's about as unbiased as you will see on the Left. Doesn't Soros fund that? There is someone of importance at Tides Foundation? I didn't know. Oh that's right, they write the bills that Congress passes without reading. Also funded by Soros. Mathews is someone you can bank on giving you the Real Story!

Sorta like Michelle Malkin being unbiased as you will see on the right, like the stuff you posted. That was the point ;)

At least much of the stuff Media Matters lists is in court records.

Jon Stewart, of course, succinctly nails those that just can't keep from dissing the President, even about the University of Arizona service, or can't keep from dissing the very service itself.
