you're correct nick

the jets hammered them , i got it backwrads

they will face houston and cinncinnati in back to back weeks in the meadowlands , with a game with the patriots looming the following week

at best i see there is a split , once of those teams will pay back the jets from last year , and the jets in my opinion will only go 1-1 in those 2 key non afc east games

as for the afc east divisional games , they jets just seem to never go 5-1 or 6-0 , i'm sure there are some years when that has happened but i'm sticking with 4-2 against the east and 2-1 against the nfc

the 6 afc games and the bear game that remain will be the key to the season

they will beat cleveland , so that gets them to 7 wins

the 6 games that are left are they keys to the season

balt - could go either way
at denver - tricky spot after the vikings game and a tough place to play

hou / cinncy back to back week , revenge game for houston and double revenge for cinncy - i hope they go 1-1 here

dec road games
at pitt
at chicago day after chrstmas

i just don't see 2-0 in this spot i give them 1-1

so i have them at 9-5 pretty much confident in

thus they would have to go 1-1 against balt and denver to get to 10

2-0 gets them to 11 and 0-2 sends them to 9-7

that's they way i see it , so right off the bat opening night is huge , just huge

and week 6 or game 6 at denver is also a big game as i think they split the pack and viking games

Revenge/Smevenge this isn't college, there is no reason they shouldn't win both of these games, especially at home.

yeah there is a better chance of the split occuring because Cincy and Housten are actually legit good teams.

Houston has been the trendy pick for the last couple of years and they continue to s.hit the bed every year. Personally, Cincy showed that they can't play smashmouth football when the Jets rolled over them in consecutive weeks last season. If I was a Jets fan, they don't impress/worry me at all.

and there in lies the problem as soon as we jets fans think these games aren't problems , they become problems

i will be very suprised if they win both of those games

houston is capable on any week of beating an team in the nfl

cinncinnati has this game circled on the schedule big time

i don't think the jets bring the intensity needed to match these teams in both games , they might have it for 1 but not both

on paper the jets are better but not by a large amount

these are 2 teams that aren't dogs like cleveland matt

and i have seen time and time again the jets lay eggs at home against teams that are good but that they should beat

houston and cinncy will both be out for blood in these spots , i don't think the jets bring the "a" gamr to both of these games and i can eaisly see 1-1 here

As painful as it is for me to say this, these aren't the same old Jets.

to some extent you are right but to some extent you are not

the got into the playoffs last year because teams layed down

if the colts needed the game , there is no run to the afc championship game

1 year with a solid playoff run makes it all better?

I just think that Sanchez will be much better with a season under his belt. He really could have used Brunell last year to lean on. But at least he's a Vet that will be able to hold his hand if he should hit stormy waters again this year. Also I think Santonio Holmes is a huge upgrade at the position and if they could get Edwards to hold on to the ball a few times they could really have a very dangerous air attack. Not sure about the running game, Greene showed late that he could be a good back. But who knows how he will take the punishment of an entire season. I do think Tomlinson does have something left in the tank, but all that being said Thomas Jones will be missed. The guy was a warrior and a respected clubhouse guy.

Defensively I would think that they are going to be strong again, that is as long as they stay healthy. You would think that Revis will eventually show up. Not sure when, but most likely by the opener.

I do think Nick Folk could lose them a game or two this year. Jay Feeley was excellent for them last season and Folk is definitely a downtick, so it wouldn't suprise me if someone else was kicking for them late in the season.

By no means do I think they are the 72 Dolphins, but I could see them being 11-5 during the regular season. They really benefit by having the Vikings and Packers having to come to the Swamp.

Once again alot of their success hinges on Sanchez moving forward.

Besides the choking on Field Goals.
Anyone remember who the DB was that missed the tackle that led Shonne Greene to the clinching TD in the SD game?
