Rex Ryan

Easily my favorite coach in the NFL. Just watched Hard Knocks, he is classic.

If we win 8 games I will be surprised.

Jets Schedule is not easy, it never seems to be !

The Jets finally have some speed at WR and if Chris Jenkins stays healthy, and Mark Sanchez gets a little more comfortable with reading defenses...

Jets should improve over last year....

Yeah that makes a lot of sense.

No Revis. Hard Schedule. Bad signings, coach who doesn't shut up....etc.

Do you REALLY think they are not gonna sign Revis, he is gonna sign...We'll trade you Lovie Smith, who never says a word.

Glad you already know where Revis will be this season. Bad signings? You're joking, right? Coach who doesn't shut up? That's sound reasoning for why the team will underperform on the field. They got to the goddamn AFC Championship game with a struggling rookie QB and a vastly inferior roster. Hope you put your money where your mouth is and pound the under in Vegas.

Joe Joe, there total is 9.5 out there. You act like it's 12.5...I'm a Jet season ticket holder(used to be now)....You can't extrapolate one year to the next in football.

Right, the equation: AFC Championship appearance + Significantly superior roster = 7 wins, that makes much more sense.

Go pound the under then. You said they'd be lucky to get eight. Otherwise you're just being miserable for the sake of being miserable. Jet fans like you are so tiresome. This is the best time to be a Jet fan since God knows when (minus the Revis drama) and your first comment is "psh they won't finish .500." I'm not guaranteeing anything, but if you can't get excited about this upcoming season, you might as well go root for the Browns.

 .....If I bet football anymore I would bet under 9.5, yes. We shall see when the season is done. I'm glad you have them in the Super Bowl. You need to remember 1999 a little bit more.

I remember 1999. I also remember 2003 and 2005. All three of those seasons were struck down by major injuries. Tell me again how that proves your "hard schedule, no Revis, durrr coach talks trash!" argument. Didn't I just say I didn't have them anywhere? All I said is if you can't get excited about this coming season, you're just a sad person.

MaTH716 08-11-2010 10:38 PM

I just watched it. I personally despise the Jets, but I really like Rex Ryan. I think he is great and the team takes from his no BS tough character. As long as Sanchez improves and they stay healthy, there is no reason that this team can't do some damage going into the playoffs. You have to think that Revis will eventually be there and that coupled with some pretty good signings should all bode well for Gang Green.

randallscott35 08-11-2010 10:39 PM

LOL, so b/c I see a hyped team that overachieved last year and think they won't be as good, I'm sad....Haha. The bottle talking tonight for you Joe. Guarantee it....I will root hard every game. But if I were a betting man, on foots, under is the play. I'm sorry you don't understand value. Hard Knocks.

They overachieved. The quarterback threw 20 interceptions and they finished 9-7 because they went 1-5 in games decided by less than a TD. That's overachievement. And I'm the one hitting the bottle. Cheers then, because you're clearly well into Rx land.

randallscott35 08-11-2010 10:48 PM

Never too high, never too low. That way you won't be disappointed...I'm an economist, buy low, sell high. I think this is a step back year. Listen in order to do better they have to get to the Super Bowl, that's a lot to ask, no? Listen in the baseball thread I said bet under 81 for the Mets. Looked stupid for awhile and guess what they are under 500 as we speak. I call it as I see it. Wake me up when they get that 10th win this year.

randallscott35 08-11-2010 10:50 PM

And no Revis, no chance at playoffs.

The Mets are one game under .500. That's the record you're runnning on?

The stepback year thing might make sense if they had the same roster. But they've improved just about everywhere, unlike in '99, '03 and '05.

Not a record I'm running on at all. My point is just b/c I'm a fan of a team (mets) doesn't mean your expectations shouldn't be grounded on that team. I was shocked the Mets got to 10 games over. Back to reality. They'll be under for the year. They aren't good....The Jets have potential but sophomore slumps for quarterbacks are common. Beware.

How, exactly, can you slump from throwing 20 picks? Face it, every argument you've made for them sucking has fallen on its face.

OMG, then why aren't you pounding the over?----The end.
