But that was after such a taxing campaign. Sometimes sport is just about being the bigger man and stepping up. The RA camp has the chance to say OK we're giving you every advantage and we're still gonna kick you ass.

And Zenyatta's connections don't have the same chance?

Yes they do, but they seem to be the ones ducking. So step up and play their game. Would they have the nerve to duck in their own backyard?

Yep, just like they ducked the race in Hot Springs. Now, someone please rebut that statement.

I'm giving camp RA the benefit of the doubt that they weren't quite ready at that point, which is another reason why they should be the ones to step up.

They both seem to be coming into top form now, which is how I'd like to see them square off. So let's go ... next time out.

Sounds good, the timing would be right. I'm so ready to get beyond this and to the next point of contention.......Quality Road is better than both of them right now.

No one wants to run on those crap surfaces out west if they don't have to, what don't people understand about that? It's a complete crapshoot whether or not a horse takes to it. I hope no top horse ever ships out west ever again, just so that garbage isn't validated as a proving ground. The dirt is where champions still prove their mettle, like it or not.

they had every reason not to go to that race, and you know it. the horse was clearly not ready at that point. it was wrong of jackson to even make the attempt, to say he'd be there.

They seem to be the ones ducking? What world do you live in?

I guess I should say they seem to be the ones ducking now. And in case you missed the main point, I'm saying the RA camp should cave and make the trip west since they skipped out on the Apple Blossom.
I'm a fan of RA and Zen and would just like to see them race sooner than later. Even if they both plan on making the Classic, that's a long way off and a lot can go wrong between now and then.

Yeah, JB floated this idea about trying to get them together in the Ruffian on the T-G board the other night.

Really no reason for the dual BC champion mare to start chasing some 1 for 3 filly around the country, at this point.

Yeah, just like there's no good reason for the reigning Horse of the Year to cross those dreaded Rockies to run a race on balls of rubber.

The world where real champions aren't proven on that bullshit surface Zenyatta makes her home on. Two preps? She should've run in the Vanity this weekend? No, sorry, that's not how it works. You want to prove yourself in America, you run on dirt, not recycled tires.

Well, MR, when your filly only has a single win … in a G2 contest, no less … on the year, ya gotta start takin' some chances.

We'd love to see RA in SoCal…
