Look at the Bears for example, they have zero shot to be any good this year and some has to do with their scheduling.
For starters.....
Week 2: At Dallas
Week 3: Green Bay
Week 4: At Giants
Then their last 8 games are
Week 10: Minnesota
Week 11: @ Miami
Week 12: Philly
Week 13: @ Detroit
Week 14: New England
Week 15: @ Minnesota
Week 16: Jets
Week 17: @ Green Bay
Where is the cupcake game there? Its brutal.
Next year, they will be a very good team after finishing 6-10 this year, and getting a cupcake schedule because of 'last years' finish.

This is the type of schedule that got Dikta fired, when they went 1-8 in the last nine games. They can start out 5-3 and tease everyone, and then finish at best 7-9 when all said and done.
