3 seperate bets let me know , i alredy skinned your owner on a red sox bet you could be next
I'll bet you on the third one for sure. Eventhough I dont see 8-8 as being impossible for the Eagles this year. They have a REALLY tough schedule.

I'll still take the over on that.

As for the Skins bets, fucl< the redskins, I dont care about them or want to make those bets.

What if the Giants flop and only win 5 games and the skins win 6?

The only skins bet I'll make is the Eagles will have a better record than the redskins. I already have that bet in place with Sniper (same guy who was excited to have TO on the Bills & thought TO would make them better)

I'll take the over on the Eagles though.

Who's my owner? Am I a slave or something?

TO did make them better, they were an awful Leodis McKelvin fumble against New England and an awful Roscoe Parrish fumble against Cleveland from going 8-8 last year. Now they are the longest odds in Vegas to win the Super Bowl this year when their only personnel loss was TO.

There's going to be some wide eyes, league-round this year! Not quite as wide as Andy, but WIDE nonetheless. Doubting Thomas' will soon realize that talk of a 'rebuilding year' was mere laughable fodder, childs play talk. Keep them under the radar, please.

For me, its just going to be so much fun watching the two men in your Avatar.

Maclin is unreal and D jax runs circles around ANYONE.

Its so exciting. Dont think I'd trade D Jax and Maclin combination for anyone.

throw in Avant, who may have the best hands in football, and Celek who is a top 5 TE & this year is going to be FUN!

we need to say prayers for the O-line.. if Herremans and Jamaal can come back strong and soon, life is good.

I cant wait to see Graham in action on the defense either. kid is a STUD.

I love the energy. Saw more energy in one little stupid pre-season game then I've seen in the last 5 years combined. These kids will die for one another.

OMG, aside from the ridiculousness of this have fun watching Kevin Kolb try and throw to a receiving corps of midgets once the weather gets cold.

As long as it's accurate and hits these kids in stride (db's left in the smoke), I don't care what the weather is like. Double/bump cover the one, the other will burn you. Stop both, and leave open a blossoming Celek. Weaponry out the wazoo, but let's wait for the regular season to start the real talking.

I'm not at all predicting a superbowl. They arent ready for that yet.

Making the playoffs with this young of team and a very difficult schedule will be a very good accomplishment for this team. It is one that I expect.

But I will make no apologies for having to stand up against this "the Deadskins will be so much better than the Eagles" bullshit. Its laughable at best.

seriously?

I hope you are doing a better job handicapping at Toga than you are doing analyzing football.

Dont be jealous that you will have to bear through another year of terrible football with the Bills, when we have the whole world in front of us in Philly.

& Just cause you dont know anything about Avant, doesnt mean what I typed isnt true. Out of the first 80 catches Avant made in training camp, he had zero drops. For real, zero drops.

article from 8/16/10:

BETHLEHEM - It would be an exaggeration to say that bystanders gasped.

But they did shake their heads in disbelief. The quick Kevin Kolb slant, thrown during a red-zone drill, hit Jason Avant's hands. Avant grasped the ball and stepped toward the end zone. Then Joselio Hanson stuck a hand in, and suddenly the ball was on the ground.

Was that a drop?

"I didn't drop it. I caught it, and he poked it out. It was a fumble!" Avant said later, smiling, before conceding that "Yeah, it'll count as [a drop]."

Last week, offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg said Avant had caught "up near 80 balls" while being defended in this camp, without a drop. "I'm not sure I've ever had a man do that," said Mornhinweg, who has coached Jerry Rice and Terrell Owens, among others.

"I don't think about that stuff. Marty came up with that; I wish he would have never said [anything]," Avant said yesterday. "It's one of those things, you're playing football, you're out here, it's going to happen. You've just got to try to limit it, as a pro."

Every single Eagles player will tell you Avant has the best hands.

A stupid fluff piece article about a guy catching passes in practice and now he has the best hands in the NFL. Wow Lori, what is next?

I've already got the Redskins against the Eagles with you. I'll also say that the Eagles will not win win more than 4 games more than the Bills this year if you want that wager. You get Eagles wins -4.5

here's my take on the eagles

2-1 in sept
2-2 in oct
2-2 in nov
2-2 in dec
0-1 in jan

makes them 8-8 under

a fall from last year , or a backwards step

they are a better team this year than last year. There linebackers are 100 times better than last year. There offense will not take any steps back.

Only thing is they play a really tough schedule.

I'm a Tennessee Titans fan. They are basically Eagles South.

But I'm not loco like an Eagles fan. I realize they aren't winning it all this year.

I won it all with them in Madden 10. CJ rushed for 2,100 yards, 29 rushing touchdowns... 92 receptions, 9 more touchdowns.
Made a few trades, dumped some draft picks. Im that good of a GM

As do I. Not one Eagle fan that I know is expecting to go the distance this year. But I'll be DAMN proud of this group if they make it to the playoffs THIS YEAR (will not settle for less next year). Factoring in the youth of this team, scheduling, and the leadership that we've parted with in the past 2 years, it's a miracle that we are even in contention. But when you see this group in action, fastballs on every side of scrimmage, you feel like you're watching the cusp of something special. Time will tell if they can hold intact, but the personnel seems to be 'closest to capstone' in recent memory.

Jets coaches are trying to "toughen up" rookie RB Joe McKnight, teaching him to run between the tackles at 205 pounds.

"The kid’s got tons of ability, I’m just trying to get him there," said coach Rex Ryan said. "Don’t dance as much, just go ahead and hit it up in there." McKnight has had a rough start to his NFL career, and LB Bart Scott thinks he's knows why: "He's just mad because he had to take a paycut from USC."

For the Silly Booth......
