Default what's next for Zenyatta?

I presume that she's not going in the Pacific Classic, where are they supposed to run her next?

Can you imagine the "Suits" at TVG's faces when Ron Ellis put the Kiabosh on the Rachel vs. Zenyatta match up in the Beldame..

shes not going to the Pacific Classic??

are you sure? do you have a link?

that is very hard to believe , the Lady's Secret is only a mile and a sixteenth, it's way too small for her.

I was thinking the same thing. Ken Rudolph didn't exactly look too pleased as Ellis was going on and on about what a mistake it would be for Zenyatta to ship out there. Then again Ellis comes across as an idiot a lot of the times so maybe he needed someone to explain to him that it would be great for TVG if Zenyatta did ship.

Ron Ellis is an annoyingly conservative trainer.

It was terrible to see him win a 2-year-old champion with Declan's Moon while not running in the BC Juvenile at Lone Star.

He can basically thank Jeremy Rose for getting Afleet Alex off poorly, and having him 5 wide on both turns, and finishing 2nd beaten less than a length to sweet trip Wilko in the BC Juvie.

He can also thank Vic Stauffer for pretty much declaring him 2yo champion in a sales pitch to the voters with his Hollywood Futurity race call.

He can also thank you for betting Wilko.

Great for TVG? That's funny. The same people that would be watching would be watching anyway. They aren't going to get some influx of new people subscribing to the channel to watch the race.

Which is considered the actual consecutive winning streak? Pepper's Pride (19) or Cigar/Citation(16). With her conservative campaign it may not be long before this 'streak' is mentioned again. However she may have to race another year to get there though.

In no way should it be Pepper's Pride. It either has to be Camarero with 56 or Cigar/Citation with 16.

I don't remember Camarero, probably way before I got into horses. I would vote for Cigar/Citation as the benchmarks.

He won 56 in a row in Puerto Rico in the 1950s. Since everyone excludes him for only running in Puerto Rico you have to exclude Pepper's Pride for only running in New Mexico bred races.

Would Zenyatta get the record in your opinion if she stays with her usual set schedule of races?
