When answering, please stick to topic and let's see if you can do it without mentioning Obama.
The topic was Michele Bachman. I presume that whatever one likes or dislikes about her is relevant. No one has made a "Got a crush on Bachmann" song yet like we had to endure with the president during his election campaign.

Oh, and your capitalization needs work. It's capital G-o-d.

Wrong. It's President Obama when you use his name as a direct title. It's the president when referring to the office or its occupant indirectly.

And it's God. Consult the first commandment if you're confused.

That may apply to Christians but doubt that many Muslims (for example) will take guidance from the Christian Bible. I am guilty of often using lower case "g" when referring to Christian/Jewish deity...don't do it out of disrespect but simply my mindset doesn't equate the term to the Almighty.

then you get into the whole mind, body and spirit (soul) debate.

i feel most people believe we have a spirit that goes on and on.

but what is it made of and where does it go? where did it come from?

I personally think that your soul is the same as your mind and body and that all three go kaput the day your heart stops beating.

also....

is there more meaning to life on Earth if there IS an afterlife, or if there is NOT an afterlife? wouldnt what you do on earth be more important if it was the end all, not everlasting?

so many interesting questions and answers. I love hearing about other people's beliefs.

I agree. It is a fascinating subject, because the question itself encompasses everything we know (and don't know) about what may or may not come next.

It deserves its own thread.

"Organized religion is a sham and a crutch for weak-minded people who need strength in numbers. It tells people to go out and stick their noses in other people's business. I live by the golden rule: Treat others as you'd want them to treat you. The religious right wants to tell people how to live."

I didn't think you'd answer it. Even you must realize how ridiculous it is but you'd never admit it. So instead you deflect. Typical douchebag move.

Well played.
