This course is a joke. US Open should be won at near par.

Too much heat the last couple weeks before the rain. With the recent heatwave (since replaced by rain), they were afraid to cut the greens US Open close because they didn't want another Shinnecock incident where they had to hose the 7th green down between groups on Sunday. Also, the rough didn't grow as expected in the searing heat.

USGA will put a hurting on these guys next year in San Fran. like no other. Complete lunacy at the Olympic Club. Be ready for 6-8 inch rough with greens rolling 15 on holes sloped to make putting impossible. The USGA can be cruel if they want to and now they are embarassed. |

Better than Tiger already. Best US Open in history.

He still got a long way to go, Rand. I hope he does end up better than Tiger, but he has much much more to prove, although this weekend was a great start. I was hoping he would win by an even larger margin. A magnificent performance any way you put it, but doesn't even remotely hold a candle to Tiger's romp at Pebble. |
