Wade has said it himself. He has said it's really simple, LeBron is their closer. He said that doesn't mean always taking the shot but that they put the ball in his hands and he makes the decisions. That's what a great player does. He recognizes where the best way to take advantage of the defense is and does just that. LeBron's best play waa the pass to Bosh. Star play.

I can't believe I'm reduced to defending LEBron, but call me crazy once again, but I pretty distinctly remember the great Michael Jordan passing to wide open Steve Kerr and John Paxson for game winning shots in the NBA finals??

Based on what I am reading I am to conclude the guy couldn't close. HE had to rely on Kerr and Paxson like James had to rely on Bosh for the game winner last night. I'm a die hard Cleveland guy, and think him ridiculous, but the guy's got serious, serious game. I guess those 4th quarters going man on Derick Rose wasn't closing either.

exactly. I have no idea how people can come to the conclusion that James is not a closer. Its only because they hate the player.

He closed out the Celtics and the Bulls this year. Everyone forgets when he scored the final 25 points for Cleveland in 2007 against Detroit, how could a guy possibly do that and not be a closer? I remember when he hit the long three pointer with seconds on the clock to win another playoff game for Cleveland. Of course, sometimes he might pass it to the open player, or god forbit he actually misses a shot, but the notion that he's not a closer is insane. I do not agree with Hossy's opinion at all. Its just cherry picking because he doesnt like the guy.

You're becoming the CSC of the sports room. I never said he wasn't a closer. He just defers to the real closer (Wade) now in the finals because Wade is the closer. I don't care what politically correct nonsense Wade says during a press conference.

When they need it, it's Wade taking it. When they went away from Wade in game 2, they collapsed. Coincidence?

Cherry picking is what you are doing. You're not addressing what I am actually saying because you can't.

LOL you're crazy. someone calls out your poor and biased opinion, and now I'm a Zenyatta fan? thats a heck of an arguement. you should feel proud of your debating. I'm not even a Miami Heat fan, but I dont hate LeBron like you an others do. I just see it for what it is. and check out the 2010-2011 stats I posted, Lebron is the closer for the Heat.

You know I love you, but you need some help with reading comprehension. I never said you were a Zenyatta fan. I compared the situations, where anyone who wouldn't annoint her as Best Evah were called haters. That is what you're doing here. I'm a hater and I hate Lebron because I don't think he's the bestest evah? That's a strong arguement

I don't hate Lebron. I just don't think he's the best player on his team, therefore IMO he isn't the best player in the world.

You keep putting words in my mouth in an effort to "win" but it isn't working. Defense and passing are huge. I'm not saying it isn't. Wade is pretty good at both also.

Sorry if I don't buy into stats that have Dirk 8th best clutch player in the league. I prefer watching games. No one watching games could possibly agree Dirk is 8th.

who do you think would be the first player taken if there was a draft of all league players?

and the stats where Dirk ranks 8th, I'd say the top 25 or 30 players on that list are very clutch. That stat is just adding up all the points in "clutch situations". So if Dirk is averaging 40 plus points in clutch situations per 48 minutes, its still pretty damn good and very clutch. The stat basically shows that LeBron has been there with more points in crunch time than Wade has this year, eventhough Wade is still a top player in the league during the final 5 minutes when there is 5 points or less seperating the teams. Though I still feel that clutch defense is as important as clutch offense.

I've pointed out why you are wrong over and over. If you can't read.. then just keep calling me a Zenyatta fan because thats the only argument you can come up with. The Heat are up 2-1 in the series, and all you guys come out with is Lebron is not clutch. its pretty ridiculous. You even caused MainCourse to have to defend Lebron!

you have a bad opinion when you dont think strong defense and assists is closing out games.

and it is big time cherry picking when you hang on three games and just plain leave out the fact that Lebron was the closer on the Miami Heat team when they crushed the Celtics and Bulls. You're like a Christian, just believe what you want to believe.

Don't dispute what people are saying, just move the goalposts to an arguement that suits your agenda and then talk about how many basketball games you've watched. Then list "facts" that have nothing to do with the discussion.

How is Lebron's dancing?

Listen, I dont care who is the best in the world. LeBron is one of the best, if not the best in the world. You guys are so sure he isnt the best player in the world.. well who would you want on your team over him? The guy does it all. He's a top 3 defender and has a top 3 offensive game in the whole league. He is very clutch and takes games over. I would bet you that if there was a draft for any player in the league, at least 25 GM's would pick LeBron first.
