You are missing the point. If you are breeding to sell having Coolmoore and clients supporting you doesnt suck. You have Baffert and his clan. Pegram has always supported whatever he has owned to a point. Plus Lucky is a Smart Strike so it isn't impossible that Farish and friends would be interested in a nice filly or two.

Of all the horses going to stud this year I think LaL has the best chance to be a big time sire. By far.

I'd agree that the prospective first crop sires this year isn't great, and that LaL is up there among the best of them, but he lacks brilliance.

He was a solid and consistent performer in an abysmal time for racing.

FuPeg at half the price is ten times better the value. Maybe more.

He's had some really nice runners however. Granted he did not live up to expectations as a sire, but he's still pretty useful, especially at 15k.

It's more likely both will fail then either will be terriffic. I do wonder why Indian Charlie doesnt attract premium mares at this point. They ran to Malibu Moon real fast once he started to truly move mares up. Maybe because he is a son of AP INDY?
