You do realize that the, "If your friends jumped off the bridge, would you too?" defense didn't work with your mother, and doesn't work in the real world of political discourse now, right?

And BTW - very few big-name writers, writing in the media, have actually - truely - blamed Palin, Angle, etc. for this. That's a lie being repeated. Like the lie that the Sheriff in AZ "politicized" the conversation (he did not mention any political party, nor right, left, center, etc., in his Saturday statement against vitriolic rhetoric).

It was Giffords father who brought up the Tea Party, when asked if his daughter had any enemies, he responded, "The whole tea party". Only the Sheriff and Giffords (and her family) know the kind of threats she was getting. We don't.

Is the left wing bringing up past public statements calling for violence by those on the right? Palin, Beck, Limbaugh, Hannity, etc? Yes, they surely are. It's a good time to do so. And yes, people like Kanjorski need to be there, too.
