Not sure how it could be. Here's a shot from the front: http://plixi.com/p/51327482 Sure seems like it was purposeful. Otherwise why would it be splotchy on top and stripped down below...was it a bizarre attempt at decoration?

It is Cayenne Pepper... It is used on the bandages to keep the horses from ripping them off..

Ah, thanks. It sure looks weird. I figured there's no way it's blood because she'd be in a vet's care, not posing with Terrell Owens, if there was actually an injury to both fronts with that much bleeding.

How about that, same treatment as a nickel claimer. I would've thought her communication skills would be far superior than the average horse.
