![]() Maybe we could take away all the health care we give our military after they are discharged. After all, there's no draft. They chose to, for example, get both legs blown off in Afghanistan.
Ummm .... naw. We are a society. If one doesn't want to enjoy the benefits of society, in exchange for the obligations, but rather would prefer a world of rugged individualists with zero societal obligations, it may be better to join up with the sociopaths. Oh, wait. That would make "sociopaths" a societal group. They don't "do" groups. This is too existential for me ![]()

Do first responders everywhere - fire, paramedic, police - a big favor. Tattoo across your forehead, "I believe in strict self-responsibility for my choices". Then, when they trip over your half-alive body after an accident or fire, they can just leave you to the responsibility for the result of your choice, and save someone else. I see plenty of good things to spend our money on, and improving the lives of the people who protect us sure as hell is one.

![]() LOL... People spend the time to post but don't even spend the time to read the link they are posting about. This wasn't / isn't and never will be a post on whether or not first responders should get an entitlement... Riot's post really shows that she can't even dig in past the ****i<ng headlines. In this case I don't believe she even read the headline. Riot sometimes its better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are an idiot than open your mouth and remove all doubts.
