This horse has attained Pee VAL status. In other words, it's IRRELEVANT. Some of us had know previously but the Whitney made it clear, even to its most ardent supporters, that QR won't win the CLASSIC. QR has ZERO shot in the CLASSIC. Unless, of course, he's allowed to walk on the front end --- which won't happen. QR can beat as many plugs as one would want from now till the end of the year. But QR is not relevant as he's just not good enough when it comes to real horse distances.

We're sitting here debating whether Convocation can beat him. You know, the hanging, pick up the absolutely LAST pieces, Convocation.

If I were a trainer, any trainer, and I had a decent router, I'd take my best speed route horse and I'd run at QR early, then I'd have my better horse run at him late. This is a SURE recipe for success against QR. Doesn't work going 8F (on speed tracks) but it's MONEY at 9F and up. You'd think someone would actually implement this. I know that trainers of prior eras certainly would/did.

I get that Quality Road probably isn't winning the Classic, but the Woodward? He can't lose.

It's a win-win the way I see it, if he win big this weekend, I will be one that will be lining up to bet against him in the classic with this being his last prep. With his big beyers this horse will always be bet down, I don't see him being interesting as a betting proposition now or later this fall.

I'll be betting against QR's babies in the 2015 BCC.

I hope this post gets lost in the shuffle until then. I'm too p.ussy to put a real opinion out there.

To be as miserable as you are no doubt, I have concluded you may have been raised by a street walker. This would explain alot of things about you.

It would explain alot of things, wouldn't it? Normally I would feel like a $hit for saying this, but as it stands I feel great.

Let's see if I am right, here comes the predictable picture, laced with some profanity, if he posted before I refreshed, let's call it a redboard.

Calling his Mom a whore is a little over the top, no?

What about 2014? I had a dream that a combination of 18 Quality Road 2yos are going to win and dead heat in the 7 different Breeders Cup Juvenile races offered that year.

106 Beyer for Quality Road in the Woodward;

104 for Here Comes Ben in the Forego;

93 for Rose Catherine in the Lena Spencer

91 for C.S. Silk in the Addison Mallery...

He looked pretty dull yesterday and still puts out a 106... Not many horses are running this fast in the game today.

I'm convinced that Quality Road doesn't like Saratoga and his big races are still in him.

He's the track record holder at 6.5 furlongs. His two performances haven't been very impressive - but saying he doesn't like the track is silly.
