IIRC, I think the entry had about $160k, interestingly enough there was about 17k bet to show on the 5, who finished 4th. If you're trying to beat a bridgejumper like that, that seems like a bad spot, where you have an entry in a short field where they both stand out above the rest. It seems like those who went against Russell Road, the Dunkelburger horse last week who was up the track and caused huge show prices had a better chance, because even though he was a clear standout on paper he was just one horse in a full field, and any one horse can have a bad day, but the odds of both of the entry not making the board in this spot was virtually nil, and certainly much less than the 10% return one stood to collect.
