I sure as heck dont feel bad for the 30,000 in the line. they should try to work and take care of themselves.
Wealthy = good, work hard, productive, important
Poor = bad, lazy, freeloading, don't look for jobs

Pretty amazing how Republicans make everything out to be so white and black.

That makes it easy for audience receptivity. If only they would stop interchanging the terms, "welfare handout" with "unemployment insurance". Maybe their accountants could 'esplain the difference to them.

The US better start finding something, anything, to manufacture again, if we want jobs.

This I agree with. Sad that we got rid of those types of industries.

Like I said. For able bodied Americans over 18 years of age. 6 months of government assistance.

6 months of food stamps

6 months of unemployment

6 months of medicare

then you are cut off. MAKE people look for jobs instead of live off the taxpayers.

its not black and white, idiot, but if you think that 100% of the "poor" are out there bustin their asses looking for jobs, than you are clueless. The fraud that occurs with government handouts (aka my taxes) is down right disgusting.

Good people do fall on bad times though... thats why i have proposed the 6 months of goverment assistance.

this thread had nothing to do with unemployment insurance and everything to do with a welfare handout. I would argue those who have paid into the unemployment pool are ENTITLED to a share should they find themselves out of work. Not indefinately but like Lori said 6 mos seems acceptable. These section 8 apps were for handouts as all these people did to receive them is stand in line. And section 8 housing has destroyed many apartment complexes in Chicago and I suspect across the country as it seems those who rent for next to nothing could give a crap about the property and in addition to expecting a subsidy from their full-paying neighbors, expect them to pick up and deal with their crap.

Like Donna Summer said I work hard for the money and I don't want none of my hard-earned money to go to no good lazy pieces of garbage. The government needs to appreciate my hard work and treat me right.

I'll refrain.

I'm perfectly fine paying for someone with mental and/or physical disabilities.

Perfectly fine with a little help when people hit hard times.

Not fine with able bodied people who live off tax payers.

Totally fine with them if they'd move into their mom's basement, or sleep on a friends couch.. or live off someone who cares about them. Or sell drugs. or Prostitute themselves. Hustle to pay your bills.. better yet, work at Mc Donalds for 40 hours and get a second job at Wendy's and work another 40 hours. I dont care how you do it!

Just dont live off me!

We live in a perfect world of imperfection;everyone has their own perfect solutions for imperfection.

An existentialists view would probably be the most correct..to him.

by the way, I'm not really a Republican. I'm registered as an Independent, and I hate the republicans as much as I hate the Democraps, but I'm fiscally conservative (something that the Republicans are not) & socially "liberal" or whatever the hell that means.

I wish all politicians would be fired immediately. I hate Palin (though I would sleep with her) & I believe Obama and Bush suck equally.
