How, exactly, can you slump from throwing 20 picks? Face it, every argument you've made for them sucking has fallen on its face.

Dont use the 20 picks stat though. Remember a lot of those came in only a few games. He had a very good year last year, esp in playoffs.

joe

i like you am a long suffering jet fan

here is my honest assesment for the 16 games and i am assuming revis will be there all 16

division games - 6 they will go 4 and 2

other afc games - they will go 3-3

nfc games - 3-1

i can see 10-6 and that us with Revis there , so the posted total of 9.5 in vegas with revis up in the air makes sense

i think 10-6 with this schedule will be pretty darn good , if we look at the non afc east games you will see what i mean

of the 10 non afc east games , i only see 2 gimmes
detroit and cleveland

that leaves 8 games with
green bay
minnesota
houston
pitt
baltimore
chicago
denver
cinnanti

if you give them 4-2 in the division plus the 2 over det and clev that gets them to 6-2 - very attainable

now for the other 8 games i can't really see them going more than 4-4

balt on opening night will not be easy

after 3 divison games they go

minnesota
at denver
bye
green bay

that is a tricky 3 game stretch and the denver game is a tricy game because it falls after a tough viking team and a bye week , that in my opinion is an essential game becuase i see them spliting with GBand Minn

the next 2 non afc games are a spilt in my opinion
houston hammered the jets last year , i can see the jets paying them back
but right after that cinncy comes to town in a big time revenge spot and the following week the jets go to NE

that bengal game is in a tough spot on the schedule , they will be amped to pay back houston and then the week the play the bengals , they will be looking ahead to the game in foxboro

just a tough tough spot for the jets , they got 1-1 against cinncy and the texans

pitt and chicago in back to back weeks on the road in dec , with the bear game a day after chritmas will be a spilt at the best in my opinion joe

so to me the key games are balt, denver and cinncy

if they beat the ravens they have a good shot at 11 wins
if they lose to the ravens they still have a shot for 10 wins
if they lose to the ravens and lose to denver they would have to go 3-1 in the 4 games against hou , pitt , cinncy and bears in order to get to 10 wins

the key non afc east games for me a a jet fan for them to make the playoffs are:
ravens
broncos
bengals
steelers

3-1 in these games would be very good for them to do

The Revis holdout is getting real toxic. The longer he's out the more jealous teammates get and the more bitter he gets. If they don't offer a new contract to his liking it could go downhill real fast.

It's not like they're in a cupcake division.

you're correct nick

the jets hammered them , i got it backwrads

they will face houston and cinncinnati in back to back weeks in the meadowlands , with a game with the patriots looming the following week

at best i see there is a split , once of those teams will pay back the jets from last year , and the jets in my opinion will only go 1-1 in those 2 key non afc east games

as for the afc east divisional games , they jets just seem to never go 5-1 or 6-0 , i'm sure there are some years when that has happened but i'm sticking with 4-2 against the east and 2-1 against the nfc

the 6 afc games and the bear game that remain will be the key to the season

they will beat cleveland , so that gets them to 7 wins

the 6 games that are left are they keys to the season

balt - could go either way
at denver - tricky spot after the vikings game and a tough place to play

hou / cinncy back to back week , revenge game for houston and double revenge for cinncy - i hope they go 1-1 here

dec road games
at pitt
at chicago day after chrstmas

i just don't see 2-0 in this spot i give them 1-1

so i have them at 9-5 pretty much confident in

thus they would have to go 1-1 against balt and denver to get to 10

2-0 gets them to 11 and 0-2 sends them to 9-7

that's they way i see it , so right off the bat opening night is huge , just huge

and week 6 or game 6 at denver is also a big game as i think they split the pack and viking games

gotta run the table now in these 3 afc games

3-0 in the division so far puts the jets ahead of pace on the over randy

the next 3 games are key to adding on to the great start . this will be a tough week . they come home and host the vikings who are coming off they bye . next will be a tough road game in denver and then back home to host the pack , not a very easy 3 game stretch

if we can go 2-1 and be 5-2 , the jets will be in very good shape with the lions and browns on deck .

I don't care if the Jets beat the Browns as long as TJ Ward takes out all of Braylon Edwards teeth with a forearm shiver and then dances on top of him. I want pain.

(oh wait, this isn't the Cleveland sport page.) sorry.
