Yeah, you could tell from the early reports that this had the potential to become an environmental disaster of monumental proportions.

Some guy on the MarketWatch board wants to rename it the "Gulf of Cheney"...........................

So wouldn't that make the Gulf of Cheney comment from the marketwatch guy a bit unfair?

Obama is now in favor of off shore drilling and there was an unfortunate accident. But somehow this is still the prior administrations fault.

Dont you know that everything is Bush's fault?

I never realized that one man could be so powerful that he single handidly ruined the world.

I think there is a distinction between the philosophy of many in the Right who want to drill everywhere and anywhere they can versus the very select and controlled space that Obama proposed. My personal feeling is that even Obama's proposal is too much, but to compare "Drill Baby, Drill" to what he proposed is a night and day difference.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2...gulf-oil-spill

Tony Hayward, the beleaguered chief executive of BP, has claimed its oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is "relatively tiny" compared with the "very big ocean".

he could have a big future doing pr for the catholic church if he ever leaves bp. he has the knack.
