There isn't anyone really wanting to take anything in the NL, but there is no fear in St. Louis. You may fear Pujols, but outside of that is no offense. Besides Carpenter, the pitching staff is very hittable, and not feared. Wainwright has a nice slider, but he's been getting knocked around.

The Phils and the Cubs should right there ships, and along with the Dodgers thats your 3 division winnners.

If there was a time for the Metsies to make up ground on the Phils, it would be now. Rollins playing like dog$hit in the leadoff spot, Ibanez on the dl, and the hurlers are looking vulnerable (cept for my man Happ) ...

this team is going to be tough once they get Raul back (hope he can revert to early season form), and Jimmy starts getting on base, allowing our big dogs to do what they do best. They need to start using Citizen's bank to their advantage and start winning some games there. Or else.

Mikey, the Mets are like a MASH unit. It's amaing that they are only 3 back. No Reyes, Beltran, Delgado, Maine, Perez (he sucks anyway) and Putz. That's your 1,3,4 hitters and 2nd & 3rd starters. They are doing it with a minor league offense. Their starting pitching really has not been bad, but they just can't score. Wright is leading the league in hitting, but only has 4 homers. I don't know what they are waiting for but they really have to acquire a bat.

That team is HURTIN. They should get a shot in the arm once those guys get healthy. Hopefully the good guys ( ) can stave off a late season charge by the real Mets.

I have no idea where they would turn for a bat. Would they make an attempt at Matt Holiday or another 'name' player?

They were talkin about DeRosa, but the Tribe wanted to much. Other names that have been floated around are, Adam Dunn and Nick Johnson. A problem might be that they really don't have many tradeable chips in the farm/organization.
