Some operations to "foal share" deals which can and do take many forms. The owner of Rags To Riches or or Rachel or any top mare must pay a fee to the stallion owner to get a foal from her.

The owner of Rags bred her to his stallion...Rachel is being bred to Curlin his owners stallion.

I realize that but if they went "outside" the'd PAY for the cover. No stallion owner is going to pay for the privilege of having his stallion cover any mare, even to very good one.

I am well aware..Stud fees are under incredible pressur.this is a real buyers market
