Secret Oath is good. I thought maybe she could be special. If she was, we would know it by now. We wouldn’t need to wait to see if she wins the Cotillion and/or Distaff. The best she can be is good. She isn’t generational. Well, I guess technically she is. The best of her generation.

Then if she were to run at 4 being a superstar would still be possible until it wasn't. |

Winning the Kentucky Oaks, with a low speed figure doesn't really equate to that. She's a really nice filly, easy to root for and runs her race. But she's yet to run fast and has not been competitive both times she has faced males. In recent history maybe two fillies would be considered "generational" to me. Rachel Alexandra and Zenyatta. Both of them were much better than Secret Oath. Are we even sure that Secret Oath is "better" than Echo Zulu? Look at where the horses close to the pace in the Oaks finished. |

Couldn't even beat Alabama Stakes winner Songbird fair and square.

What was unfair about her win over SONGBIRD in the BC?

Imagine carrying on for SIX YEARS about a photo finish?

Songbird won the headbob, and they awarded the race to the second place hoss. Watch the replay, it’s clear that Songbird was in front on the wire. They would have showed the mirror image, if it showed Beholder won. Watch the slow motion replay, listen to JD Bailey, who then clammed up, awaiting the photo. It’s all there. Repeat after me inside the sixteenth pole 1-8-1-8-1......

Everytime Estrogen Dan enters a thread it immediately jumps the shark. There’s like 3 things he’s passionate about. Songbird, Andy and posting about people or horses dying. Anything other than that and he has nothing to say but needs to say it because his cat even ignores him at this point. |

That's a great question. I think Echo Zulu is probably better up to one mile and Secret Oath better 9F and up. If someone offered me a bet, someone that would pay, I would take Echo Zulu to win the BC F&M Sprint over Secret Oath winning the BC Distaff.
