As Tony Black discussed yesterday, wouldn't be the first time the wrong horse was brought over and missed and won't be the last.
what are the repercussions though? just seems like it happens not for the first time nor the last time and everyone moves along. bettors got fleeced, other horseman in the race got fleeced...so what now? even if it was an honest mistake it seems like these stories always fall flat on there face in like 24 hours. I surely have NO INTEREST in betting MVR at the moment and I imagine others feel the same. I just don't get it...NFL, MLB the integrity of the game is paramount and with us it seems like we are simply on autopilot 95% of the time.

The integrity of the NFL is paramount? The National Football League you mean? That's hysterical. The one Roger Goodall commissions?

MLB.. This Major League Baseball? http://www.baltimoresun.com/business...104-story.html

NBA is a league, right? http://deadspin.com/5392067/excerpts...nt-you-to-read

FIFA? http://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/26/sp...come.html?_r=0

Olympic Organizing Committee? NCAA? What else you want?

But racing is on auto-pilot because the Identifier missed a horse in a nickel claimer at one of the most obscure tracks in the country?

Integrity? Hey, at least in the pps they show you if a horse is on lasix, or you know of equipment changes, etc. But integrity in the nfl?? Ha. They tell the players 30 days out before they drug test. Anyone who pops is a complete bozo who should be banned for life just for being so moronic they couldnt get clean like their teammates could
Any trophies for steves response above.

not sure if Tom Brady would agree with you...spygate..bounty gate..players get popped all the time for ped's...i just dont see anything or hear anything in terms of reprimands for racing..

ok so the identifier missed it? Honest mistake..who brought the horse out? Was it the same barn as rubys queen? How did the wrong horse end up in the paddock anyway? There is more then 1 mistake here..a chain of events unfolded.

Highly doubt anyone will be fired, fined or sent to the principals office

They may not, depends on what the investigation finds. If the checker does this often, assuming a horse is correct, they may well be sacked.
i think tho your cynicism is unwarranted regarding racing and integrity.

Agree, phil. This seems a case of laziness by the person not doing their job.

you mean, like, when Penn National builds a casino then moves a track that has been in Grove City since the 30's?
