Doug O'Neil is the true definition of "a wolf in sheep's clothes".

Whatever, I'm sure Tuscan Evening just needed some new shoes and a trip to the dentist.

And he won that race with Silent Soul, claim off Hoffmans. Puglisi is probably crying himself to sleep tonight.

The thing is, he really is a nice guy, super friendly to anyone visiting his barn (I have a friend who owns a horse with him). I can see why he's able to get owners, he has a well run barn and he's amazingly personable. Guys like him will always do well in this business... Unless a scandal brings him down and it appears this one hasn't brought Doug down.

That is what I meant by a "wolf in sheep's clothes". He comes across as a really nice guy.

With regard to your assessment that his barn is well run, I have always heard just the opposite. But he is obviously doing something right. He's winning a lot of races.
