Default Worst KD futures bet?

Not early ones either...I'm talking about after the New Year.

I think mine was Superfly.

Nearly all future bets are silly.

It is not really that any single horse is a bad bet in and of itself. It is more the idea of betting a race months in advance without knowing who will actually be in the race, what the track conditions will be, what post they will draw, how the track is playing, etc.

We would never bet any race without actual information like this. The Derby should be no different.

Because if you catch one before he really pops, you can get 10x the odds....

If you approach it like a lottery ticket than it is ok.

My first and only $20 future bet was one on Closing Argument at 75-1

Another reason why Futures are not smart.
you could have got 70-1 on race day.

Although none one would play the lottery if it offered 75-1 odds.

It's one bet a year, it's the biggest race of the year, it's gets people more excited about the biggest race of the year... I think I can let some of the drawbacks slide.
