well, my picks so far are

point ashley--was lucky enough to see her break her maiden, which kev and i drooled over. said than she was one to watch, her del mar debutante only re-inforced my faith!

pine island--by arch, but more importantly, out of the full sister to pleasant home, winner of the '05 distaff. hopefully she stays in training--dinny has enough broodmares! lol

circular quay--after seeing horses such as point given, macho uno, and afleet alex to name a few, we all know that not ALL two year old stars fade out at three. his bashford was good, his hopeful was outstanding!

showing up. dual surface runner. look out!

aragorn--will repeat as bc mile winner next year!

What about Invasor again? Looked good in the Donn. Not one mention of him on this thread. Has something happened to him, or is he still training up to Dubai to go against DC? But he is my pick.

I am sorry to go with an obvious choice, but I saw a few Discreet Cat references . So scratch the first choice and I will go with Circular Quay. I know that he has had trouble going two turns, but after all the trouble he had in the Risen Star and to still finish fifth I think he is a special horse.

With Bernie retired, I am going with another son of A.P. Indy, Master Command. My other choice is the A.P. Indy grandson Corinthian.

Funny thing about Master Command. If the first half in his race is in :47 or more, he's right there at the finish, usually winning. If the first half is in less than :47, he finishes well-beaten. He's not always on the lead, but he needs that easy pace up front. Check the PPs to confirm. Once Liquor Cabinet came out of the New Orleans H, Master Command was a shoo-in, since nobody else in the field was going faster than :47 early. But watch him self-destruct against a field with genunine early speed.

i think master command is solid at best, nothing special im sure he can continue to beat weak fields and pick up checks, if he faces a real horse... corinthian, discreet cat, invasor, chatain, even a handful of 3 yr olds i'd say he'd be in trouble
