THE star of 2007 will be.....

Just for fun, let's make a prediction.

My choice for up-and-coming monster? The Godolphin horse, Librettist. Entered in the Prix du Moulin on Sunday and possible for the BC Mile (along with Iffraaj), he's won 6 of 7 now..... looked absolutely stunning.

Note the long layoff..... missed over a year.

A star.

I think Bernardini will run next year, so I choose him for Star of 2007.:)

Bold Brooklynite 09-01-2006 03:47 PM

Is this some kind of trick question?

Everyone knows it'll be ... Mayan King.

Visionario - an Aga Khan 2yo, runs at the weekend... could be a special one!

I've heard a little about him..... have never heard of any of the other runners in the field though.

Let us know how he does and if he looks anywhere near as good as Holy Roman Emperor. :)

They could well be!

Librettist is now pointed to the QE II and the BC Mile..... let me know where yours is heading.

Nice pick! :)

Visionario is going for the G1 2yo race on Arc day - used to be the Grand Criterium, new name now..

Discreet or Bernardini, whichever runs next year. Also, watch for the return of Your Tent or Mine. He'll be a monster.

bright one and circular quay are two horses with big futures.

well, my picks so far are

point ashley--was lucky enough to see her break her maiden, which kev and i drooled over. said than she was one to watch, her del mar debutante only re-inforced my faith!

pine island--by arch, but more importantly, out of the full sister to pleasant home, winner of the '05 distaff. hopefully she stays in training--dinny has enough broodmares! lol

circular quay--after seeing horses such as point given, macho uno, and afleet alex to name a few, we all know that not ALL two year old stars fade out at three. his bashford was good, his hopeful was outstanding!

showing up. dual surface runner. look out!

aragorn--will repeat as bc mile winner next year! :D
