What the hell happened to her? She was a real up and comer as a bug, I knew the agent that had her book in Tampa when she first arrived there and she could definitely ride...

That said, if I had to live in Cleveland and ride at Thistley, I'd probably be smokin' fatties to get through the day too...

Honestly Kev, I'm really not sure Rude was talkin about horses, when he said she could ride.........................

I'm interested so I can toss any mount she is on. Not sure what's going on with Dan's vision, but she's not a very good rider.

It makes no mention of the whip switch in the charts, but I did stumble across this beauty from the 7th race that day.

http://www1.drf.com/drfPDFChartRaces...=20110806&RN=7

A 5 horse entry, that pays even money and also pays $2.40 on the back end. DrugS would destroy 6 pairs of socks if he knew that.

I think she is related to my brother Pat.

Anyway --- she can/could ride. She was in the top 5 at PID for like the first six or seven weeks or so when she was 17.

She would basically park herself on the rail -- use the 10lbs and 7lbs break -and she looked decent finishing ... she won on a bunch of hopeless longshots - a few even laughable no-shot types on paper.

Not bad looking either -- since 16 is the age of consent here - I'd say she was a 8.5 when she was riding here.

I kept hearing stories about how "her agent can't control her" -- and how she "sneaks into bars to drink with spics" ... anywho - I asked people earlier in the meet why she doesn't ride here after all the early success she had -- they said that she was "caught sneaking into the casino underage" and she's not allowed here because of that supposedly.

Kev,

When she had her bug at Tampa, she impressed a lot of trainers in the morning by showing she had a lot of ability. She didn't get many decent mounts in fact didn't really get any mounts until the end of the meet when a lot of the regulars had already left - but made the most of them, improved horses by out-running their odds regularly and even won on a couple of long shots.

That was 2 years ago.

She didn't even come to Tampa last year.

So that was the crux of my post - Clearly she has not turned into the rider she showed she could have been and has her head up her ass... I was simply wondering out loud what had happened to her - thought that was clear.

She's not too shabby. Of course the stories are a little disconcerting.

Cut me some slack, I'm working on it.

I understand what you're saying, Dan. She is probably ranked somewhere in between your opinion of her and mine. If she impressed a lot of trainers in the morning by showing she had a lot of ability, then why didn't she get many mounts?

Michael Straight was the leading bug at the time, HVG was having an unreal end of the season (due in part to him being Ness' 2nd call guy, then) Centeno, Homiester, and Goncalves had not left, RA jr and Willie were still getting first calls and Morales stuck around... so it was nothing like last year's debacle where all the top flight jocks left for one reason or another, and Orianna Rossi was getting legit rides.

Bad timing... If she had been in Tampa last meet, and had she had her sh1t together, it could have made her career...

She was okay in a Tammi Piermarini sort of way.

Sprints only. Auto toss on grass or two turn races.

One of many that show up for a season and disappear off the radar.

Don't let the bluster fool you, Dan 's Oriana.

Kev,

Who was Bigs' girl there at Tampa a couple years back? I forgot her name already, she was from Suffolk and it wasn't Tammi... Either way, Orianna is fine, but I probably wouldn't let her near my race horses.
