![]() The Chargers couldn't beat Senaca High School in rainy weather. I've never seen a more pathetic effort by a pro football team. The Arizona team that went to the Super Bowl was down 59-0 to the Pats in the 3rd quarter in snow two years ago .. the Titans were down 48-0 to the Pats at halftime in the snow last year ... but both of those teams played their hearts out in relation to the way San Diego is quitting.
You're seeing it most dramatic on special teams. The Chargers returner actually called a fair catch with no one within 22 yards of him. They gave up some incrediblely soft returns. Twice they would have had the Chiefs pinned inside the 5 if anyone hustled to the ball on punt coverage .. instead they loafed and let it squirt into the endzone. The Cardinals team that got beat 50+ and the Titans team that got beat 50+ by the Pats in snow, they just quit. This team - forgetting quiting - they have bought life insurance and picked out their casket. This team can barely stand up - and water falling from the sky has them scared for their life. Some Super Bowl contender right there! They should have pulled a John Shireffs and just walked off the field and scratched. |
