Default Nice race today at Aqu

Race #8:
1 Weathered (NY) 5/M L M J Luzzi 123 K M Grusmark 2/1
2 What a Pear (NY) 4/F L R Migliore 120 P L Reynolds 12/1
3 Dean Henry (NY) 5/M L C Hill 118 T Albertrani 15/1
4 By the Light (NY) 5/M L R A Dominguez 120 R E Dutrow, Jr. 5/2
5 Sapphire Sky (NY) 4/F L C C Lopez 120 D G Donk 5/2
6 She's Prime (NY) 4/F L J F Chavez 118 M Miceli 15/1
7 Gold for the Queen (NY) 4/F L D Cohen 120 C Baker 10/1

Unbelievable how bad What a Pear has gotten since she started out on fire this time last year in NY (I think whe won her first 4 races). Seems like ever since they shipped her to run on the junk at Keeneland shes been dismal. I like her to get back to her winning ways today with the trainer change to Reynolds. Shes about the only value in the race.

I'm with you there. Not off her last and as the no doubt favorite in here.
I'm also going to take a shot against Weathered, even though every time I am against her, she kicks me in the nuts. I'm making a box of What a Pear and Sapphire Sky, and betting the former to win. I'll use both in my horizontal bets as I am singling the Contessa in the 6th. Good luck Randall. May you win enough to pay for your wedding and take your wife to Hawaii for the honeymoon.

I'm guessing you have some serious steam on the Contessa horse in the 6th to be singling her. That race is ripe for the picking anyway because the ML fave is a joke.

If I were singling a 5-1 firster in the opening leg of the Pick 4 I'd definitely keep from being knocked out by horses like Weathered or By the Light, whose respective records against NY breds are outstanding. This might be a smidge too far for By the Light, but what was so bad about her last race?

I don't know if What a Pear was ever that good. Her big win in the Busher was aided big time by the biggest golden rail of the season. She is 4-for-4 on the IT though. Seems to be a good deal of speed in the race, maybe Dean Henry gets the setup at a price.

Not betting the race but I don't like Dutrow near the top 2 spots.

I just thought By the Light looked like a horse over the top. I'll let her beat me. Now that Sapphire Sky is out, I will use Weathered in the pick 4 and not bet any exactas, just a win bet on What a Pear. No steam on Contessa's horse. I dont listen to any of that anyways. Just like his stats with firsters in maiden claiming spots. Not putting too much money in this pick 4 to get that concerned about. Going to do a $2 ticket going 1x4x2x4 ticket looking like this....

7/4,5,6,7/1,2/1,3,4,9

Good luck.

I think I'll get ahold of Mr. Peabody and Sherman and use the 'way-back' machine and give What A Pear one more chance.

I think it Takes A Pair to bet What A Pear in this race.

I think Weathered is easy today. I would love to get 2-1/5-2 on her vs this group, this is the easiest she has faced in a long time.

I'm shocked Contessa's horse in the 6th race is 7/1. Thought for sure he'd be 2/1....wasnt going to bet to win but now I am.
