Default A Question

I watched the some of the replays of the BCC on TVG, however they skipped a couple of years. One year they skipped was the year that Cat Thief won the BCC. Due to system limitations, I cannot watch that race while at work. Can someone tell me if that horse won wire to wire and if there has ever been a wire to wire winner of the BCC.

Also, I am amazed how far Swain drifted when I watch that race.

Anyway, thanks in advance.

He was never worse than third. Ran in second most of the way and responded when asked in the stretch.

I'm STILL Counting the money Dettori lost me with his ridiculous left-handing of Swain...

At the very least, I think both Skywalker and Black Tie Affair won the Classic wire to wire. Maybe even Wild Again and Ghostzapper.

Cat Thief was 1st or 2nd most of the way with I think Old Trieste? Then game as hell thru the stretch to hold everyone off. I remember because I think that is the first horse I threw out of my selections that yr.

GZ stalked RIM. Wild Again was in a duel with a rabbit... I don't think he did.

Exactly, RIM was never in front of GZ.

We need to make this thread a sticky, since it was the first time DrugS has ever been wrong.

Please don't remind me. I needed Budroyale for a huge pic-3 (with Anees and Daylami).

I think it was coming back about $8K for $2. Budroyale was in the 25 to 30-1 range. I really liked Anees and Daylami that day and was live to 5 horses in the Classic, and get beat by Cat Thief. Ouch!!
