A belated WTF for NYRA on not unloading the horses in the 7th w the late in the gate scratch of #1. For p4 u got the posttime fave who won the race but the bettors be damned on reformulating their tickets. Of course i had taken out #6 in the 8th race to cut the ticket down, but would have put him in if givena chance but, NYRA didnot unload, guess too inconvenient, now if it wasnot the #1 horse scratched , they would have reloaaded. DAMN

Why did the field which was standing quietly waiting for the break need to be unloaded/reloaded due to the antics coming from the rail horse?

There was no reason to reposition the horses (with an open stall).

Seriously, I am missing why a reload was needed.

To give the bettors a chance to change their bets ??? After all its a betting game and the start of P4 .

The reload would be for the bettors benefit, to cancel and/or change their bets, not because the horses were well behaved. They used to do this and not jam up bettors and i was waiting to cancel my bet and reformulate, not having the favorite 2X.

That 5.5f ninth race was a real disappointment - expected to see a half in 43 and change - instead, we get a half in 44 4/5 and a perfect journey afforded to Golden Rifle by the slightly bearing out Chart Topper (disappointing performance). Stormy Rush who was firing halves in 44 consistently is no where to be found as the closer, Heaven's Runway, owns the course in a "disappointing" 1:02.

Will respect your view here, but if you were watching the feed, you had to see Jose Ortiz walking about 20 yards behind the gate trying to shake it off. There was plenty of time to cancel a wager ... again, it was your cash on the line there.

I was watching but didnot see him walking around, I was waiting to cancel and rekey but didnot think i had time to rekey and had spent time on the bet, so didnot cancel.I was waiting for an unload to do so. Why should bettors be put in that place when a scratch at the gate can change the nature of the race ? NYRA used to unload but apparently they r not now and in the future i will cancel the bet .I don't like delays like anyone else, but it is a betting game and I donot like a fast shuffle.

Understand your point - perhaps I come from a different perspective : if I am going to cancel a bet for a bad actor heading to the gate or loaded into the barrier, I just cancel the ticket instead of waiting for another time window to open.

Sorry that this situation might have cost you at the windows.

Like I said NYRA used to unload and give bettors a few minutes to reload, due to horizontal p3,4,5,6 bets , if it was a win bet i would have cancelled. NYRA instituted changes in rules for p4,p6 when races are off the turf when the bets were already made and corrected bad rules, now they are acting like a corporation and make the trains run on time and stick you like it or not.

Really, i took out the #6 in 8th for the #1 in the 7th. and i would be live in p4 w, 4,6,8 hope they lose

#8 wins -$171 to me.
