I made my first trip to the spa last Friday (Personal Ensign day) and missed out on my chance to meet the legend as well, looking forward to going back next year as it is truly an event unlike any other in racing.

My highlights were getting to watch the red jacket ceremony and on a more related note, in the 9th race when the horse named Steve ran (I had a bet on him of course) and Tom Durkin called "and here comes Steve!" and the whole crowd in unison went "Steve!"

Unfortunately Steve the horse couldn't sustain his run but hopefully Steve the radio host can continue crushing the field for years to come.

lol your right the crowd roared at the sound of Steve making his move..lots of great finishes over the weekend including the dead heat on Friday...the incident with ludicrous was very unfortunate but was handled as well as you could handle a tragedy like that.
