7/30: Saratoga (Day 11; Coronation Cup)

Steve, I don't know if you have access to the vets there to ask questions of them, but I am curious as to how many cases of heat stroke they have seen in horses before they run the race.

I have attended a lot of very hot weather race days over the last 30 years and have seen many many cases after the race is run, but don't recall ever seeing a horse go down after simply warming up.

Maybe this is common and I simply haven't noticed, but this case seems very unique.
