I would hate to depend on a horse like Commanding Curve to pass everyone into the exacta and have to spend 2-3 times more to cover.

So what would be a "real hedge" that would be a reasonable risk/reward ?

There really isn't a "real hedge" thatis a reasonable risk/reward. Such is the life when you're booking 3/5 shots!
