I love Medal Count's chances. The pace should be unbelievably quick and set up for a mid-pack or late runner.

I'd have a better chance betting Indian Premier League cricket than the Bluegrass scrum.

Does anyone think So Lonesome 2nd-off the shelf with that bullett Palm Meadows work has a shot? If he were to hit the board, he has a pretty good pedigree for the Derby.

I honestly thought 50-1 was a little ridiculous. His 7F effort at Belmont was pretty solid. He then improved stretching out to a mile. While he finished well back of Gala Award in the last (not a terrible effort considering the fractions/horses that finished in front of him), the switch to synth and more (expected) pace -- I don't see it as impossible that he could turn the tables on the likely second choice.

Not impossible but really up against it. Interesting stat on Bush with first time blinkers..........he is only 1-42 coming into race. I assume the bullet work was with blinkers on and maybe that woke the horse up. No disagreement with the Derby pedigree............

The turf race he won was against a pretty shitty field. At Gulfstream he did not run a step. I dont see how he is under 75-1 in this race. I hope Im wrong and he does run well, I like the connections.
