![]() He is playing 40 mins a game on a team that plays among the fastest tempo's in the league. He is bound to get a few assists somewhere. His assist/TO rate is very low. Harden has more assists a game, Melo has more rebounds. The point is that they are both one dimensional players unlike the very best players who play both ends.
Hardens abysmal 3 point % (30.3%) this year somehow gets ignored by the fawning press and PG1985 while Josh Smith who is a far, far better defender gets killed (deservedly so) for shooting 27%. Harden is a very good player but he clearly could be a better player if he took fewer 3 point shots, stopped turning the ball over so much and made just a bit more of a contribution of the defensive end. Pretty much like Carmello. |
