On a related note...There was more evidence today at Hollywood Park that the low takeout, .50 pick 5 is the best wager in racing.
1st: Even money winner...the tote board told the story 2nd: $8.20 3rd: $5.60 ( a graded stake sprinter earlier this year for O'Neill) 4th: $10.00 5th: $10.20 (2nd choice in a scratched down 6 horse field..lone speed) $1002 for .50!!!
