So then wouldn't Beholder's win not look as good since she beat an over the hill Royal Delta and a Princess of Sylmar who didn't show up with her best?

Sure, everyone said Royal Delta ran well in the Beldame, thinking maybe she did not. I think Authenticity ran well, and so did Close Hatches, who beat POS ealier this year.

Royal Delta is the most overrated, and always has been the most overrated filly/mare, since Zenyatta.

And Zenyatta would probably have trounced Royal Delta.
