It is mind boggling how many of these GM's discount the goaltender position. It's like saying pitching isn't important as long as you have good hitters and fielders. Insanity. Tampa hasn't had a goaltender since Khabibulin left after the '04 cup, nd still the team doesn't address the void. Just score 4-5 goals a game and you shouldn't need a top shellf GT.

i don't know why the gm for the flyers got a pass-isn't he the reason they are having goalie issues?

He thought that he did address it, turned out the guy just sucked.

In Holmgren & Bryz's defense, losing Pronger was a huge blow to that team. The defense ended up being porous without him and on many nights they did no favors for Bryz.

the whole situation is just a mess. but i don't get why they sack the coach, especially so early in the season. if three games was all they were willing to give him, then why bother with three? it's not enough to tell the tale.
