Hope you're enjoying the game! But if you were watching the game I'm watching you wouldn't be a happy camper. D-fence-less. Chavious needs to get this figured out, its becoming a trend.

Which makes CHIP KELLY the longest tenured coach in the city. :o

Why even bring the guy back this year if you're gonna shell him at first chance?

Miguel, I honestly believe that if the Rangers weren't in the market for a head coach, that the Flyers would have canned him after last season.
Lavy would have been a huge favorite to land in NY.

Never even factored that in. You could very well be right. Makes total sense.

I agree. It's not the coaches fault Holmgren has 6 slow old defensemen on the team. Except for Hextall the Flyers haven't had a decent goalie since f&cking Pelle Lindbergh and they scored three goals in three games.

Between the Steelers and Flyers my teams are on quite a run.

For a reason. As a Lightning fan, I wouldn't mind seeing him go to a competitor.

But he is very average, and doesn't not inspire his players.

It is mind boggling how many of these GM's discount the goaltender position. It's like saying pitching isn't important as long as you have good hitters and fielders. Insanity. Tampa hasn't had a goaltender since Khabibulin left after the '04 cup, nd still the team doesn't address the void. Just score 4-5 goals a game and you shouldn't need a top shellf GT. :zz:

yeah, me mentioning guy was tongue in cheek!

i don't know why the gm for the flyers got a pass-isn't he the reason they are having goalie issues?

He thought that he did address it, turned out the guy just sucked.

In Holmgren & Bryz's defense, losing Pronger was a huge blow to that team. The defense ended up being porous without him and on many nights they did no favors for Bryz.

Danzig 10-07-2013 11:00 AM

the whole situation is just a mess. but i don't get why they sack the coach, especially so early in the season. if three games was all they were willing to give him, then why bother with three? it's not enough to tell the tale.
