I want to see the start again, you could hear a bunch of the Assistant Starters yelling "no, no, no" and they opened the gate. Seemed Paynter wasn't ready which changed the entire race.

Wasn't that Paynter wasn't ready though he was a little flat-footed. Velazquez beat the gate with Alpha who more or less lunged forward a beat before the gates sprung.

I just saw the replay, the start looked fair. Agree Paynter was a little flat-footed out of the gate.

Everything Baffert/Zayat/Lukas ran today was flat. Ship cross country for this?? Ugly.
