He's $633 short of a $1 million in career earnings.
Could become, possibly, the first horse in history to surpass $1 million in career earnings, in a 5 furlong 8k claiming turf sprint at Santa Rosa. |

An unchallenging 5th or 6th place.

Can't imagine they're not aiming for $1 million before retirement. Came up just short. Hopefully one more start will do it and get him that final $291. I know it sounds silly to have a G1 winner in that situation, but if he's sound, it's not the worst goal. He won't be getting back to GSW level so this is the biggest achievement he can still get.
He's had a couple really long layoffs in his career, but it's been a few years since then. Monzante was coming back off a 3rd long layoff when he had his problem. |
