If you call the racing office, some tracks will tell you which, if any, horses on the card are stuck.
A few of the west coast morning horse racing radio shows on the weekend usually announce which horses on the upcoming card (So. Cal circuit) are "stuck" and their trainer would prefer to scratch rather than run.

Is that term used when a race comes off the turf and you stay in the race knowing you'll get preference when they fill the next turf race in that class or is that just considered a trainer's choice?
