Pick 5 carryover of $60,762 tomorrow.
I would think at some point that the betting would become stagnant because getting one ticket would become almost impossible. Look at today for example, $34/$36/$52/$20 and there was MULTIPLE people hitting it with only 2 horses alive to one sole ticket.

Maybe I am wrong

The entire concept of the wager should make betting stagnate, but it doesn't. People who are already ignoring 52% takeout and lottery odds aren't going to be deterred by a few tough sequences being covered.

I hope you're right, because I don't want to wait until closing day to have that shot at a huge mandatory payout pool, but I think the higher the jackpot goes, the better it is for Gulfstream.

Gotta believe people are playing because of the money that is in the jackpot not what was taken out...

Knowing what was put in today, I am curious what was put in on a Wednesday afternoon lets say 4 or 5 weeks ago...

I would venture to guess that if it wasn't hit today, it isn't going to be hit. More and more money will be coming in and take up more and more combos.

Tom, Joey..

Doesn't the 'date request' option stem from the situation when they moved the forced distribution away from Easter (or Palm) Sunday so people in silly states that forbid play weren't screwed out of the chance to hit? But this year they close on Friday April 5th so there shouldn't be any conflict should this keep stretching out.

This is what I was trying to say earlier but obviously didn't explain it properly.

Explain what? That more money in the pool equals more combinations covered? I'm pretty sure everyone understands that.
