http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013...iend-hoax?lite

9 questions....so far.

the last one, the motive? can think of one named heisman, if teo were involved. if he wasn't, then this is one long-lived 'hoax'-and what would be the motive in that case??

imo, these last two are the ones that really raise questions:

8. Carrying out the hoax would have been a full-time job involving more than one person. Te'o claims he would spend all night on the phone with Kekua while she was in the hospital. There were purported communications from family members. Who would have had the time to orchestrate it? By the same token, how would Te'o have been able to create and maintain a social-media profile for Kekua on his own?

9. Where's the motive? A central figure in the hoax is reported to be musician Ronaiah Tuiasosopo. Deadspin reported that he had contact with the woman, a former high-school classmate, whose photos were used to create Kekua's profile -- even obtaining one of the pictures from her directly. But the site also describes Tuiasosopo as a friend of Te'o, raising the question of why he would humiliate his buddy.

If your friend's girlfriend "just loves giving blowjobs; if anything, her love of giving blowjobs has *increased* since we've been together"...
...That girlfriend is: not real.

I'm also suspicious of any guy who claims his girlfriend's favorite flowers are roses. Because I don't know of any woman whose FAVORITE flower is the rose. And white roses? Srsly? Could that be more of a cliché?

(Okay now I'm sure all the male DTers will tell me that no, really, their wives/girlfriends/mistresses/etc. favorite flowers really are white roses. Really.)

I myself like snapdragons, which are impossible to give as cut flowers because they wilt almost immediately. So my better half is off the hook about those things.

Ronaiah Tuiasosopo and Manti Te'o are lovers. Ronaiah's father is a pastor and they are big in religion. Te'o's a mormon and a football stud. So they make this story up to throw everyone off on the gay thing. Ronaiah and Te'o break up.. so they create this death thing as the death of their relationship. Come december Ronaiah wants to get back at Te'o and threatens to expose the fake gf thing. That's when Te'o makes up the "i was duped" story and goes to Notre Dame with it.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
