For anyone who is so inclined... petition to ask HIlton to stop serving shark fin soup in their Far East restaurants (their Dept. of Corporate Responsibility is currently rewiewing the issue).

Thanks for the link to the petition!
The east coast is (finally) catching up with the ban. Unfortunately VA (aka dumbest state evah) introduced a bill last year banning the sale and possession of shark fin, but it never made it out of committee. I wrote the sponsor of that bill to see if he would reintroduce the bill and never heard back from him... Maryland has an active bill for this legislative section and a search of other states can be performed here if anyone is interested in writing in their support: http://www.bornfreeusa.org/b4_legislation.php
